From First Sight to Forever

It was a bright morning, and Donaldo, an 18-year-old boy, stepped onto the university campus for the first time. His heart was racing with excitement and a little nervousness.

It was the first day of his graduation year, and everything felt new—new friends, new teachers, and a new beginning. As he entered the classroom, something unexpected happened. He saw her.

Divya was sitting alone in the corner of the classroom. She was also a first-year student, just like Donaldo. But to him, she seemed different. Her beauty took his breath away—her long, dark hair fell gently over her shoulders, and her eyes sparkled with kindness and mystery.

Donaldo had never seen someone so beautiful before. His heart skipped a beat, and in that moment, he felt something he had never felt before.

“Who is she?” Donaldo thought to himself. He couldn’t take his eyes off her.

Gathering all his courage, Donaldo slowly walked towards her. His palms were sweaty, and his heart was pounding, but he knew he had to talk to her. When he reached her desk, Divya looked up and smiled shyly.

“Hi, I’m Donaldo,” he said, trying to sound confident. “Is this seat taken?”

Divya smiled warmly and shook her head. “No, you can sit here. I’m Divya.”

And just like that, a connection was made. As Donaldo sat beside her, he could feel his heart calming down, but something inside him knew this was special. Little did they know, this was the beginning of a beautiful love story.

As days turned into weeks, Donaldo and Divya started spending more time together. They studied together, ate lunch together, and sometimes just sat in the campus garden, talking about life, dreams, and the future. Their bond grew stronger each day.

Donaldo found himself falling for Divya more and more. He admired her intelligence, her kindness, and the way she made everything feel right.

One evening, as they were walking back from the library, Donaldo couldn’t hold back his feelings anymore.

“Divya,” he began nervously, “there’s something I need to tell you.”

She stopped walking and looked at him, her eyes full of curiosity. “What is it, Donaldo?”

Taking a deep breath, he confessed, “I… I think I’m falling in love with you.”

Divya blushed, her heart skipping a beat. She had been feeling the same way but was too shy to say it at first. “I feel the same way,” she whispered softly.

Hearing those words made Donaldo’s heart soar. From that moment on, they were inseparable. Their love grew deeper as they shared their dreams, faced challenges together, and supported each other in everything.

Three years passed quickly. Donaldo and Divya had grown as individuals and as a couple. Graduation day was finally here, and they both knew this day would bring big changes.

After the ceremony, Divya excitedly told Donaldo some news. “I’ve been selected for a job through campus placement! It’s my dream job!” she said, her eyes shining with happiness.

Donaldo was incredibly proud of her, but he also had his own plans. “That’s amazing, Divya! I’m so happy for you,” he said, smiling. “I’ve decided to stay and pursue my master’s degree here at the same university.”

Although they were thrilled for each other, deep down, both of them knew that the next chapter of their lives would be challenging. They would be on different paths for a while, and it wouldn’t be easy.

“I guess we’ll have to be apart for some time,” Divya said, her voice filled with a mix of sadness and hope.

“Yeah, but we’ll make it work,” Donaldo replied, holding her hand tightly. “Our love is strong, and no distance can change that.”

As Divya started her new job, and Donaldo began his master’s program, they faced many obstacles. Some people doubted their relationship, thinking that it wouldn’t last with the new distance. Even some of their friends didn’t believe they would stay together.

But Donaldo and Divya knew better. They stayed committed to each other, supporting one another from afar. There were nights when they missed each other terribly, and sometimes, they even fought. But every argument only made their bond stronger, as they always found a way to communicate and resolve their differences.

One day, Donaldo surprised Divya by visiting her after one of her long workdays. “I couldn’t stay away any longer,” he said with a grin. “I missed you too much.”

Divya’s eyes filled with tears of joy. “I missed you too, Donaldo. I don’t care what others say. We can get through anything as long as we’re together.”

Years passed, and after finishing his master’s degree, Donaldo was selected as a lecturer at the university. He was full of joy. He planned a simple, yet heartfelt proposal in the same campus garden where they had spent so many evenings together.

They met in the garden at a predetermined time and sat on a corner bench. When Donald announced that he had been selected as a lecturer in his department, Divya felt filled with ecstasy and hugged him tightly.

I called you for a special purpose here. “Divya,” he said, kneeling down with a small, sparkling ring, “Will you marry me? Will you continue this beautiful journey with me, no matter what obstacles come our way?”

With tears in her eyes, Divya smiled and whispered, “Yes, Donaldo. I will.”
